The University of Hertfordshire is a public university in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. The university is based largely in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. It was founded in 1952 as University College Hertfordshire and gained full university status in November 1992. The university has a total of four campuses: the main campus (St Albans), which hosts the majority of the university’s academic departments, Hatfield Business School and Dental School; Stevenage, which hosts the School of Medicine; and a fourth location at Southend-on-Sea.

The International Excellence Scholarship Scheme (IESS)
The IESS is open to all undergraduate students studying at the University who have achieved or expect to achieve an A grade in their first year. The scholarship provides funding for tuition fees plus a maintenance allowance for one year (three years for Medicine).
The International Postgraduate Research Scholarship Scheme (IPRS)
The IESS is open to all postgraduate Research Students at the University who have achieved or expect to achieve an A grade in their first year. The scholarship provides funding for tuition fees plus a maintenance allowance for one year (three years for Medicine).
